2022-06-30 - Line up Change

Here are both some glad and some sad news for the weekend.
Unfortunately, FOR I AM KING and RESOLVE have had to cancel their performances at the festival. We are of course just like the bands, very sorry for this, but we have done our utmost to find the best possible replacement at such a short notice.

The good news is that we as replacements can welcome SELF DECEPTION and MIDNIGHTING to Friday’s program at the festival.

2022-06-26 - DREAM DROP to play at this years festival!

We are happy to present Gothenburg’s finest Emo crew DREAM DROP to the festival next Saturday.
As previously announced YOURS TRULY had to cancel their shows but all the rest are still to play at this years festival. And we are hyped to welcome you to Fållan next weekend! 🥳🌴☀️

Sorry to say that Yours Truly has been forced to cancel their tour because of illness. They will therefor not be able to attend this years festival.

We Came As Romans will make an exclusive european consert at our festival this summer! Only on High 5ive Summer Fest 2022 🇺🇸

The metalcore legends We Came As Romans will take on as Saturdays Headliner!

For the first time since 2017 will they come back to Europe and Stockholm. This will be the first time since the latest album ’Cold Like War’ and with the new singles ’Black Hole’, ’Darkbloom’ and ’Daggers’. See you this summer!

2022-02-21 - Because of the current situation

Due to the current situation in Europe right now, we, together with artists and partners, have made the decision to postpone today’s announcement of Lineup. We hope to be able to do this soon when the situation has calmed down and we have more reasons to look forward to the summer.

Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people and all those who are somehow affected by what is happening there.

2022-02-21 - IMPORTANT NOTICE!

Due to circumstances that we as organizers could not control, Neck Deep and Being As An Ocean will not be part of this year’s festival. We are working fully to find the best possible replacement and will, apart from the headliner on Saturday, present the complete lineup for the festival next Monday – 28 February at 18:00.

We’ll of course offer repurchases to you who only want to go to the festival to see Neck Deep or Being As An Ocean. Repurchases can take place up to and including 28 /2, kl. 17.59.

2021-10-25 - The first band release for the festival of 2022!

High 5ive Summer Fest, Scandinavia’s only festival focusing on Metalcore, Hardcore and Emo was defeated by the pandemic 2 years in a row when the festival was forced to cancel 2020 and 2021. Now the festival presents the first 16 artists who will join up in Stockholm on 1- 2 July 2022.

– “We have done everything we can to get the absolute best lineup we could for the summer fest. We have had both luck and bad luck. We have been able to reconfirm some bands that would have played in 2020/2021, and others we haven’t because of logistical reasons. There will also be a lot of new, exclusive and cool things that we look forward to a lot! ” says Stoffe Johansson, Festival booker.

New for 2022 is that the festival moves to the Slaughterhouse area and will take place at the new arena “Fållan” where it can accommodate 1800 people. A venue that is equipped with 2 stages, a slightly smaller stage and a larger main stage. We will also have an exclusive outdoor festival area on site during the High 5ive Summer Fest on 1-2 July.

– “It will be a packed schedule spread out over two days. In addition to all the awesome artists, we will have a series of different happenings, interviews, signing sessions and other fun stuff happening at the festival, where you can also eat, drink, hang out with your friends and just have good fun between the bands. ” continues Maja Jogre, project manager for the festival.

Some of the main acts presented so far at the festival in 2022 are the British pop punk band Neck Deep, which performs an exclusive concert in Scandinavia. Together with the album-current progressive Metal band Vildhjarta, which makes their only gig in Sweden 2022 at the festival and the Japanese Metalcore sensation Crystal Lake, and not to be missed, the German partycore band Eskimo Callboy, and many more, there are a lot of special acts to look forward to.

2021-05-17 - The years festival will be postponed until 2022!

This may probably not come a surprise message and we are just as dissapointed as you that we have to send this;
As a consequence of the current world situation, including travel restrictions and decisions taken together with artists and their respective management we are unfortunately forced to postpone High 5ive Summer Fest 2021, that should have been taken place at Fryshuset on 2-3 July this summer in Stockholm.

We kindly ask for your understanding that this is coming in late. Which is due to circumstances that has been beyond our control.

In these dark times though we are starting to see a light in the tunnel as the Event world is slowly starting to open up around us and with vaccine programs for Covid-19 advancing. Therefore as a happy reply, as you just read, the festival isn’t in any way cancelled, but only postponed until we have the possibility to run it.

The new date is 1-2 July 2022 in Stockholm, Sweden. NOTE! All previoulsy bought tickets for the festival remain valid in 2022.
We are still working hard to confirm the lineup and keep as many bands as possible from the current lineup.

Further on and as soon as we can, we will inform you and all festival visitors regarding lineup, location (in Stockholm) and everything around the festival, so we hope that you will have additional patience as we are working behind the scenes to make the festival in 2022 the best and most long awaited event ever. 2020-04-21 - The festival this summer is postponed until 2021!

It’s with a heavy heart that we must inform you all that due to the current regulations for events and various travel restrictions globally High 5ive Summer Fest 2020 will be postponed.

The new date is 2-3 July 2021 at Fryshuset, Stockholm.​

The festival team have been working very hard over the last couple of weeks to find a solution to this and the best and only option at this point was to push the festival forward to be able to keep this amazing lineup and have something to look forward to.

HOLD ON TO YOUR TICKETS and keep supporting us by buying tickets, it’s the only thing that keeps us going as a small independent organisation.

The festival will still take place and the lineup will remain with the same bands until you hear anything else, as there will be potential changes to the lineup like with any other festival. We’re in close contact with all bands, managers, agents and partners to make sure that we can go on as intended only a bit later, and the majority of all bands have already confirmed that they will be a part of the festival in Stockholm next summer.
